BTW The rifle I was trying to remember awhile ago was the Bushmaster ACR (Adaptive Combat Rifle). I want one, badly.

Who said you have to sit and slowly shoot to practice accuracy?

I haven't been to the range in awhile, but when I do practice it's a lot of double/triple taps. Unlike in the movies it takes more then one hit to drop a BG, which is why my goal is to get 2-3 shots (in rapid session) on the target ASAP.
The straight arm technique is very accurate, especially if you're a little guy like me, keeps the recoil manageable (remember not everyone is 6'6" with bear paws ). However you're right in that in most situations that probably won't be the best option. Either you just won't have the time bring it up that high or space constraints. For example if your target is 3-5ft away it'd be kind of silly to take it out that far.James, you ought to look into real combat and defensive style training with your shooting! That straight arm target stuff is good for hitting 10X's, but unrealistic in the real world!
nice looking gun but why? what would you use it for beside tartget practice? I think I could target practice with a .22 if that is all I was going to use it for. much cheaper to shoot.
You don't understand the "cool" aspect
I have a .22 that I love for target shooting. No scope and you can dominate anything.
oh, I understand cool, I also understand little crumb snatchers at my kitchen table wanting supper every night
Hey, if you had the machine gun you could wipe them out
those little crumb snatchers are my kids don't think I want to use a ozzie on them
Because it's my 2nd amendment right to bear arms, plus I really want to get myself an assault rifle before the monkeys in DC decide to bring the ban back.nice looking gun but why?
