What did you do to your bike today?

Yeah John... If you wanna piss money away fly me in every other weekend and I'll fix your bike and ride with you... take your sister to the movies...:thumb:

sounds like a lot to take to the movies.. you might loose your popcorn butter to the door frame if your not careful..

Just messing John, I don't even know if you have a sister :thumb:

I thought all you east coast guys were too busy with your own sisters. :smirk:

John, I'm all for getting the pros to do stuff that I just can't handle but, (and this is a serious question) why would you drop your bike off for that kind of stuff? Nothing better than grabbing a beer/scotch/water/coffee and wrenching on your bike with a couple of buddies? :thumb:

Was just going to mention that. :thumb: We're here for you John, do the easy stuff yourself and put that extra money in your pocket (or buy beer). :ride:

Relax guys lol I enjoy a little wrenching on my bike like all of you. BUT since I bought this bike new and it's my first four stroke bike ever, the 15 hour service on my bike is the first big service that makes sure the bike was broken in properly and the engine came from the factory as it should. Not only do they change all filters, oils etc, They check the valves and make sure everything is in spec as it better be, plus the connect the engine to the KTM diagnostic tool to make sure all is good.

PLUS I bought all of the KTM powerparts, engine ice, and Shorai battery from them at a nice discount and no shipping cost! :thumb: PLUS they are installing ALL of it, including a KTM pipe guard not purchased from them, at NO EXTRA charge.

OH AND LET ME NOT forget, as I was leaving, I saw a cool little KTM hitch cover and started talking to my bro about it how it would help us be fan boys lol Gustavo saw it and gave it to me for free! All of this service by a reputable mechanic who has been wrenching on KTM's longer than some of you guys have been alive. For this type of service, I don't mind opening up wallet.

But in the future, as the bike gets older and less shinny I do plan on doing all standard maintenance on it myself :thumb:

Good deal :thumb: but what about the sister??? does she still need a date?

Especially when you take your bike into the dealer for service.:picard:

We don't know how to check my valves or valve clearance, We don't have a KTM diagnostics tool to check the motor, We don't have the knowledge (yet) to check over any hidden issues or motor for the first time to make sure it's all in spec. So paying $140 for them to do all of that for the first time is a no brainer. I will learn to do it myself for the next services but for the first time, I would hate for myself (who doesn't know what he is doing) to mess up or ignore any important first time services. We spent big coin on these bikes, so we just want to make sure they last us a long time. Plus, we bought some parts, (new chain, engine ice, batteries, sprockets, pipe guards, replacement lights, and some engine stuff) that they will install for free. So that was just a bonus.
