What did you do to your bike today?

Not a full detail. Just a good washing with soap and the power washer. (And of course Pledge)

Where taking it in right now for a valve check/adjustment, oil/filters change, and all the other good stuff the manual recommends after every 15 hours. (Which is overkill IMO). We did the last oil change and filter change ourselves. But since this next service requires a valve check/possible adjustment (which we don't know how to do) were going to take it in and have them do it along with all the other little stuff.
Man, I don't know what the manual says for a valve check/adjustment for my '07WR but this week was the first time it has ever been looked at. The valves were in spec and were going to be re-used. The piston/rings/spark plug needed to be replaced. I decided to have all the valves replaced also just because I wanted to have a complete fresh top end. Also putting an hour meter on it now.

How much did that run you?

You should be able to easily check your vaves every time you do your 15 hour oil change. All you need is a feeler gauge and maybe some training from srad. Most likely, they will not need any adjustments for a long time. If you can change your oil yourself and check them yourself, you will save a ton of $$$.

Well, the list of what I am having done is long but distinguished:smirk:. Let's see:

Ride Engineering Triple Trees 22MM offset
Yoshi slip on
Sunline MDX brake/clutch levers
Hammerhead shifter
Hour meter
Spark plug
Timing Chain
Timing Chain Guide
Piston/rings increase by .25 in compression
clean-up porting
Valve/spring/seals replacement
YZ Intake/Exhaust Hotcams for the WR

Cost - I am afraid to ask:eek: Paul Calassa from AS Racing is doing the work. Great guy:thumb:

3k later :faint:

What's she going in for? I thought you were going to start doing the maintenance yourself.

Like my bro said, valve adjustments are out of my scope of knowledge, so I let the dealer do it. So every 30 hours (which just elapsed) I take that service to the dealer. I get a damn good rate for my oil change, valve inspection and adjustment, all filters including air filter cleaning/replacing and what ever parts I buy there I get a discount plus are installed for free during the service.. This time I got new handguards, grips and throttle tube. And maybe they uploaded the Europe XCW map into the ECU

Why throttle body?
