What did you do to your bike today?

do you plan on riding it in the next 4 years? :smirk:

None of my friends could ride it because as soon as they pulled in the clutch it would die. It was fun to watch. I rode the dog piss out of it yesterday. Then the screws that hold the steel plates to the swing arm at the axle decided they didn't like their home anymore so they tried to eat my wheel. So I fixed that too. Then we built a jump. Then I got tired and almost ran our buddy over that was playing photographer. Was a good day, and I'm sore as shit today.

And just what is it your experimenting?
I put on a set of 22mm offset triples. I would move the forks up a little bit at a time to see how it would change the handling characteristics. I could never find a position that would eliminate how "twitchy" the bike had become. I knew going from a 25mm offset to a 22mm offset would make it turn more responsive but DAMN, to me, it has made the bike almost unrideable. Too unpredictable when climbing hills, it deflects a lot more/easier. Same thing when going down hills.

So the experiment is to see if it is just mental or real. I was trying to get the bike to not push through corners but as the saying goes, you can't always buy talent. I prolly need to experiment with moving the forks up/down in the stock triples to see if that would help first. Then start to look at tires a d tire pressure....
