What did you do to your bike today?

Finally took my bike to the dealer today. It's been a month since my last ride and it needed new handlebars due to a crash and it's first service.Since they were putting on my new handlebars, I also had them throw on an Enduro Engineering bar riser kit, an EE grab handle and a Sicass racing license plate assembly. Best part was that I all I had to do was drop off the bike then go to the beach while I waited. Had lunch on the pier and hung out at Balboa island with the lady until the scooter was done. Crazy to think that on new years eve eve, the beach was packed. Got to love Cali I guess.

I had issues with the handlebar setup being to close to my torso and giving me a feeling of falling over the handlebars while standing. So I had the bars placed in the furthest forward of the 4 positions KTM offers and had 15mm worth of height added. Just from riding around the house the handlebar setup feels MUCH better. I can't wait to try it on the trail to see how it feels.

Only thing left I'm looking to add is the KTM closed hand guards. I just saw them for the first time on this video. Anyone think since they are NOT metal wrap arounds like most others, they won't be to strong? Main reason I want these is cause they look the best :smirk: plus they are like half the cost of others I saw.

So now the scooter is ready to ride. If anyone is doing a weekday ride soon (mon-wed.) post it up! :ride:

I thought I did a better job at scratching that thing. Must be the angle you chose for the pictures. Glad to see you got the risers and moved the bars forward. Give it a try and see how it feels. It's great you have 4 positions to move them. It may feel awkward in the dirt at first as you transition from sitting to standing, or it may not. But if it does, give it time, it's nice to know there's room for adjustment. :ride:

Written like an almost convert. Give it time and you too will own a KTM. :smirk:

Well lets see I have 2ft of snow on he ground, no heat in my garage. So I starred at it like while I was getting ready to snowblow my driveway. Like a little kid dreaming of 75 plus degree weather a moto track and pretty girls watching me ride. heehee :smirk:

Last night. Jr. Jr. and I, Split the case, pulled the crank, cleaned the cases, replace the seals on his YZ.
Bearing will go in the freezer, case half's will be heated and the damn thing should go back together tonight. Hopefully he is cleaning his frame and crap today. Saturday will be heat cycles and Sunday break in ride.

Jr. Jr.'s bike is back together and running good. Even put a 8oz FWW on it to see if he likes it. Tomorrow is the shakedown ride. West side of Stoddard, KSU 0900.

Just got back from a good loop in the desert for Joe's YZ rebuild break in. After 5 heat cycles with a heavy oil mix we mixed a 32:1 race gas batch. 1.2 hours on the meeter of slow ride 1/4 to 1/2 throttle and cool sessions she was ready to rip. I also put a 9oz FWW on it and the boy loves the reaction it made to the 2T. He was flying for the next 1.5 hours. Rings are seated nicely and I am damn happy, my first rebuild was a success.
