What did you do to your bike today?

Just got back from a good loop in the desert for Joe's YZ rebuild break in. After 5 heat cycles with a heavy oil mix we mixed a 32:1 race gas batch. 1.2 hours on the meeter of slow ride 1/4 to 1/2 throttle and cool sessions she was ready to rip. I also put a 9oz FWW on it and the boy loves the reaction it made to the 2T. He was flying for the next 1.5 hours. Rings are seated nicely and I am damn happy, my first rebuild was a success.
:thumb: great jobby Peeateforone so what all did you replace?

Rod bearing crapped out on him two weeks ago. Bottom/top end kit from fleabay for 325.00 delivered. Complete seals and gaskets kit, cleaned and check all bearings, they where good. So we slapped it back together.

You got away without having to replace the top end? When my bottom end went it, it trashed my top end too.

Edit: nevermind I re read it. I see you did a top end too

The top end was "good enough" to run again if I wanted, (per my buddy George Erl at Up-Tite Husqvarna/Beta) but the kit was so cheap IMO, I didn't want to do it over. Only bummer is I used one of the head copper washers to lock up the primary drive gear to remove the bugger and the kit didn't come with them. I got it on order and more, it was only one and I hammered it flat to use it.
