Bleeder closed. You are pressurizing the system and giving the air a long chance to work upward

replaced the plastic caliper guard which to my shock and amazement didn't live very long. Only took me 3 hours

Vacuum pump works well also. It is an SOB to get the air out of a rear caliper and line

Yes it does.....but use a reservoir inline between the brakes and the pump so brake fluid doesn't get into the pump and destroy the seals.

well if you have a company car or a brother inlaw that will loan you his car you can just hook a line up to any vacuum port and and bleed away.

we used the shop truck when i was in college (san luis obispo kawasaki) to perfect the technique

Started to service the bikes a bit, shake them down and see what they needed. Everything is in top shape and ready to go. Luke sucked some water into his rmz last November. He said he flushed it out but I wanted to run it and see where we were at. I might be splitting the cases on this one. FML. Also when I pulled the screen I found a filing. Just 1 but still a filing.

That is not enough to crack a case over. Miss shift, gear spur, etc. just one is not enough to be alarmed.
