What did you do to your bike today?

It isn't the sliver I'm concerned about. It's the chocolate milkshake in my oil pan.
I wouldn't worry about that either. Fill the case up to overflow with a oil and fuel mix, shake well, "not stern". Drain, replace oil, run 5-10 minutes to temp. Drain, replace oil, ride for 10-15 minutes. Drain, replace and you should be good.

Done that about 4 times already. :foul:

Still getting chocolate milk? Now that sucks! Go strait diesel and try again, maybe let it sit over night, rinse and repeat. Probably need to replace the clutch plates or remove them complete.

When I pulled the clutch cover the plates were actually clean. I'm wondering if I should use a diesel fuel treatment or sea foam in there. Maybe that will collect the water. I don't see the rad level dropping either. No bubbles no oil slicks. I did take an oil sample (about an inch) in a clear container as it was draining. I'll have see how it looks after a few days at room temp.

Can you get a gallon of WD-40 in your area? If you are seeking to disperse any water/codisation in the case, you could fill the entire case "all the way up" pull the plug wire and kick it over about 10-20 times and slosh it around real good, drain. Anything to not have to split cases will be miles ahead. Just trying to think outside your box. :smirk:

there are some diesel additives that will pick up water pretty easily too. there are oils that have in their ratings the letters GST. those are really good for it too, and most of them lube bearing really well.

those oils are made for machinery that is subjected to steam, and they pick up and suspend water and go right on working.

Thanks fellas. :thumb:

Isn't marvel mystery oil one of those oils?

Really wanted to go riding tomorrow and have zero time to do anything during the week between work and school. So I replaced my shift shaft, shift lever, and did fork seals and oil tonight and then loaded everything up at 10:30. DSC01015.JPG

Wasn't as stripped as i thought it would be, but still enough to render it useless.

Oil change on the KX250, clean air filter and washed the bike off. Changed the oil on the KTM250, cleaned the air filter and washed her as well. Also shaved down my clutch lever that I broke on my last ride (tree)
