What did you do to your bike today?

Walked into the trailer to drool some more and realized I got it warmer in there than my house... and I'm OK with that..

Have never had a new dirt bike, anyone know if the suspension will drop after some use?

I wouldn't wait. I would do as was suggested my Tim and set the sag and reset it if necessary. Having it right from day one will make the get acquainted sessions lots better.

hell I'd hit it. I think i'm going to buy a steel framed wr450f out of az with tags and build it into my baja bike

Just know that the 2003 had starter problems, which they fixed in 04. In 2005 they went to 48MM AOSS forks, which can be direct swapped to SSS forks from the YZ's. But in 2005 they also lowered the compression ratio (12.3 from 12.5) and added all the AIS crap. Cali smog certified. :picard:

Where you getting loaded too?

Local day ride. MH has a fuel line leak that I have to drop the tank to fix.:foul:

Are you gonna CA plate that?

F California.

When Timo stays home to work on a rig for the pick up truck to carry three bikes comfortably, and two bikes go out instead. Breather Vent 90 that goes into the valve cover came out. Karma baby.

Bummer Timo.
I Did that to Luke’s RMZ the 1st time I did a valve check. I didn’t seat the grommet correctly for the valve cover bolts and it spewed oil. Kid came back in Covered in oil. :foul:

So my neighbor was selling his house, the realtor came to my open garage and asked if I had a wrench to break down his for sale sign to fit in the trunk of his gtr. We start talking bikes, he’s super green but excited and exchange # and for a solid week he blows up my phone with ad’s and he (WE) eventually winds up with a ‘15 WR450F orig owner claimed oil changes every two rides 190hrs. Ok, now I glanced at an ad on my phone while driving, and just to cease the inquisition gave my official oky dok. I just figured it’s practically new, has some pricey ad ons so how bad could it be? Next day I get text, runs good but once warm battery struggles light it up, and stalls occasionally. And it has a rekluse 3.0. .and it stalls. :pout:

Some people should not own motorcycles. My wife thinks I’m crazy but I actually feel BAD for the bike!
So, now I have this mofo in my garage. Looks as though it has never been apart and barely cleaned probably just a post ride hosedown. Under spec intakes stretched out timing chain (stretched out drive chain) filthy air filter leaky fork seal baked on crusty headpipe no rear brake pads ..
I checked the ecu and it shows a runtime of 00:03.

:foul: wtF? This heap makes my ‘03 look showroom. How a bike gets this bad so quickly is sad. So now I feel responsible because I mean I gave the OK to buy the fucking thing, and I really do kind of feel bad for the bike so...

Wow, I'm thinking the seller maybe wasn't the original one to pour all the lovin in on it with mods including a rekluse.
Almost everyone that wrenches to that level can't abuse a machine like that.
More likely the 2nd guy reused the original description to resell once the lying dirtbag tore it up.

Naw, I'd bet money there was an extra special idiot that got his hands on what was a top end mod and tore it up, then just waited for the perfect newb to unload.
The ECU probably wasn't original, just dealer OEM replacement.
