What did you do to your bike today?

walked by it and smelled gas, turned on the light to check the petcock and found this

I did something not directly to the bike but needed for it. Went to the DMV took the written motorcycle license test. I passed with 100% with only a couple minutes of studying! :banana:Haven't completed the motorcycle safety course so I was only issued my permit until I take that and then I get the license.

I use the skills I learned in the safety course everyday I ride a motorcycle. :thumb:

Here in NJ they basically did away with the dmv test. The have a weekend class thats 3 days total, 2 hrs on a friday night, 10 hrs on saturday and another 8 on sunday. At the end of the class they hand you your approved permit and you do is update your license to include a motorcycle endorsement

You can still go to the DMV in Cali and do the ridden bike test after you get your permit. That is what I did. My son did the weekend class as NJ, Friday night class room and 8 hrs on Sat and Sun in the school parking lot riding 250 street bikes. You have to do the motorcycle safety class in Cali if you are under 21.

for a revalve or rebuild?
Revalved. Had it rebuilt and springs changed when I first got it.
Why do you still have the linkage attached to the rear shock?
 Force of habit, I always put bolts back in and keep everything attached that I can. When I got there I did go.

However if you do bring it he usually looks at it and repacks the bearings if needed. :thumb: Great guy.

Unless the time in use was very short you always clean, inspect, and regrease bearings.

It's OK Buck, we will let it slide that you ride a Harley..:smirk: Actually there are a few DBAers on here that ride those big piles of metal around and I am sure they would love to  over some pictures of your 2 wheel vibrator...:stirthepot:

I shit the bed tonight because I put some Sunoco 94 octane in the tank, and gave it the beans on the highway! The torque ripping my head back was awesome! It's good for about 0-110 mph in 16 seconds, then you are done! Need better gearing or larger balls.

They do vibrate like a Muther F!

That's the true attraction for women! ASK THEM! Tell me I'm a liar!

It's a panty dampener!

Buck,
Is the true attraction to a Harley because it vibrates like a Muther F? :smirk:
