original fuel pump at 11 years 187,000 miles? Not bad.

Replaced mine at 280k.

Thats a good long life.

I've replaced a whole bunch in Uhaul's that didn't make it to the 100k mark, also towed vehicles that had to have it replaced under warranty....

As little as I can....,then probably wait till the last minute or untill something breaks, then I will probably do the least amount if repair work to get it on the road again.

that way you know for sure what part is bad.

although the little blue oval on the front is always a prime suspect
