I have a scan tool that will pull up codes and give me a data stream for what the truck supports.@snowflake do you have access to a scan tool so you can check for codes and look at data pids on your truck?
And the firestone was mostly on firestone from what I remember.They havnt had many fatal defects.....cept for the Firestone 721 tires and the combustible car (pinto) is all that come to mind.

thats not to say it didn't happen though, just that the whole thing might have gotten blown a bit out of proportion.
the media would never inflate a story....I never saw a live example of that, and it may have been overblown, who knows.
