What do you think of this bike for sale?

That bike will NEVER SELL for 16. Guys is a pipe dreaming idiot, and for 13 you would have been close.
He will be lucky to get 800.
I sent him a text afterwards, said thanks for the test ride, if you change your mind...
Too hard to get parts for.
I did some research and I'm thinking I can get everything I need, and it'll be in my garage tomorrow. It's Zach's next bike, and it'll give me all summer to get it into shape for him to ride this fall. By that time he'll be done with the CR80. And if he crashes it and destroys it, as long as he doesn't kill himself doing it, who cares. It's 500 bucks.
Inexpensive 125's that run are hard to find in this area so I gotta get one when it comes up. Plus since you said it's a superior bike, I thought we'd give it a try.

Kids outgrow bikes. In a month they will be cheaper so they can sell said bike to have cash to get the next bike.
Thats kinda what I thought.
I just unloaded it.
I rode it before I bought it, but it needs some work, so I'm starting a new thread in 3, 2, 1, ...

Dude texted me today, saying he would go to 1400.
The bike is in fair condition, not good. And its KBB trade in value in "good" condition is 1185. With the laundry list of repairs needed above, I'm thinking no more than 1000 maximum.
Trying to formulate a proper response to his text that sets myself up for the 1000 dollar sale...hmmm......hmm...know what?
I'll do it tomorrow. That usually helps.

Thanks for the offer, but after reviewing all the things that need to be repaired, parts and equipment etc. to make the bike "right" again, I can't see paying more that 1,000. Thanks for you time.

And that is nearly identical to what I sent him yesterday, except I didn't mention the 1000 dollar part, I just said I couldn't give him 1400 and left the ball in his court. Time will tell if he wants to play ball.
