More Powdercoat came in! Timo did an AMAZING job on my items. Every surface was sandblasted and properly prepped for coating. Superior gloss and thickness. Again, the extensive prep work really shows in the final product. Thanks again SO much TIM!

Laced up the front wheel. Tightened them down and trued the wheel. Spins forever on the new bearings.

Found an awesome company locally here in CA selling a cool item. Customer service is top notch!

Spoke Skins
A way to cover up old rusty spokes or just bring some great bling to your bike!
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Spoke-Skins/405025652902011?fref=ts
Offered in quite a few colors including orange for you kool-aid drinkers... :smirk:

So, when I ordered these I was skeptical about the quality and how well it will stay on the spokes. I imagined colored drinking straws that would slide around and provide nothing but temporary color flare. Anyways, I contacted them. Within 2 minutes I had a PM back about how to order. They ask you for your exact measurements for a custom kit special to your spokes and color preference. Mix and match is cool too!:wiggle:

Opening the package I was amazed at the thickness of the skins. Like 2.5mm neoprene sleeves. Amazing build quality and GLOSSY sheen. 5 extra skins for each wheel included in the kit. They fit perfectly.

Installing was easy, just work the spoke into the slit down the side. Quite a bit of force is required to install and remove. No way they are coming off. Even grinding in the rockbeds... Also there is the option to heat seal them on permanently. (until you unlace the wheel) They close up with a perfect seam again with no silver spoke popping through. Great quality and color! Took about 20 minutes and some arm pump to install one wheel. So expect to do this before you hit the staging area.

Anyways, I love the look of my wheels now. Amazing. Trying to get a gloss black rear rim to really bring the black to the table. I am quite excited for this build! :wiggle: BTW, these are $39.99 per kit, includes 2 day shipping to your door. Excellent customer service for such a small company.

:thumb: CDA Jr was telling me about these the other day. That is not a bad price and looks like a pretty solid product.
