Finally exercising again.

Fricken homeless people :picard:

Get a house already :prof:
 I am working on it. I looked at a 2.62 acre lot yesterday. I am looking at another today. I am meeting with a builder tomorrow. I can't find chit thats already built and ready that I like.

Speaking of homeless, someone said to me the other day, "you know, you are technically homeless and can get the guberment to assist you will stuff like school luches for your kids and other things too. You ought to check into it." I said you know what, :finger: that is what is wrong with people. Always looking for a hand out instead of just doing what is right. I don't need help :picard:

Well, I certainly hope you got your free cell phone at least. :smirk:

So last night, I pulled a CDA/Rack adventure while MTB riding. I have been eyeballing this single track on Google Earth and passed a couple single track trails coming off the mountains while out riding the pass couple weeks. So I talked a co-worker into going on an adventure with me to see about getting on top of this mountain to find the ST. He was game. As we pulled into the staging area, the temp on my car hit 100 degrees and I knew we had to do some climbing up through a canyon where temps would pass the hundy mark. We headed out anyways. Climb, climb, climb we went. I probably dropped 5 lbs of water weight just sweating the first 4 miles of climb.

Well we got to the trail I thought would get us to the top, but we hit a dead end. So I pulled the CDA/Rack card.

CDA - "Hey Jim, I bet if we hike up this hill and get on top, I know the trail is up there"
Jim - "Seriously!?, you want to hike up that?, Ok let's do it."
CDA - "Hey Jim, Isn't this awesome? We are almost there. Just little more."
Jim - "Underneath this smile is a voice saying ""I will kick your ass when I reach you"".

CDA - "Hey Jim, we just need to go up this one last hill over here and we are on top, I promise." :smirk:
Jim - "Why did I agree to this, I could be drinking margaritas while floating in my pool."

CDA - "See Jim, I told you there was a sweet single track up here."
Jim - "You know, you are right CDA, that is pretty sweet."

CDA - "Hey Jim, check out that view as well, you can see all the way across the San Fernando Valley."
Jim - "That is a pretty sweet view. Now let's hammer this single track back to the cars."
CDA - "Great idea, the sun is starting to go down. OK, I'll lead, catch me if you can."

Turned out to be about a 10 mile loop, 8 miles of climbing/hiking :smirk: and 2 miles of an awesome downhill single track with sweeping turns and about a 100 yard drop off the side section that popped us out on a fire road.

When I got into work this morning and looked up the adventure on Google Earth, I realized that I made a left at the intersection and should have made a right. We could have rode a single track up to the top instead of hiking our bikes up the side of a mountain with no trail and dodging snakes and tics.

CDA - "Hey Jim, I found the route we should have taken, want to hit it next week again? I also found another T section that will take us farther up. That will get us to another longer downhill section. Should only add about 5 more miles of climbing."

Jim - "Hey CDA, :finger:"

A little bike ride this morning.

what app is that?

I found a new app for the trails Its called MotionX GPS it allows caching maps for when you have no service, which is a big plus for sucky cell phone service :thumb:
