RM250 rm250 starting issues

ok i got some goodies at the house waiting... i know my new tire came in and new tube.. i ordered a dunlop d756..30 bucks.. and i had 20 dollars in bonus cash.. hopefully my exhaust springs came in.. so i should be able to get this thing together today after work

ive also ordered a new air filter... if its in..i will be riding it today hopefully :D

Ok i Got it together today....filled it up with fresh fuel and oil.. kicked it about 50 time...nothing.....

Got on it rolled down my drive way.. second gear choke on.. fired right up... i pulled over let it warm up...took off and road it easy for a little bit... finally cracked it open runs damn good... dont seem like its got any problems..road it around for about 30 mins.. cut some trenches in the field in front of my house with my baldass michelin....

So after i got done playing around i shut it off... I let it sit for about 10 mins.. got back on it and kicked it 2 times.. fired right up... So i thought i had my problem fixed.... my buddy broguht his 2001 rm250 over.. and i kicked it...... ya its got about 5 times the compression as mine...

At this point my bike had been sitting for about an hour... i got back on it and kicked the shiat outta it.... wouldnt hit... rolled it down my drive way.. fired right up...

So i figured id make one last pass before i put it up for the day... i was flying up the road in front of my house ...pulled in the clutch as i was getting ready to slow down and ...SNAP......it was like my clutch cable broke... so i put it up and was getting ready to go inside ... figured i would take the cable off .....ya its still hooked up and its still working... something internal is broke.. the clutch lever(on the crankcase) and shaft .. feels like its broke or somthing inside the case

dude, that sucks. i would tear into her and get on RMATV :D i bet you can get free shipping :D

Well if its not one thing its another.  Maybe you were right about getting rid of it much earlier in this post.:P It confuses my why you cannot kick it over but you can bump start it and it runs fine. Are you trying to start it in gear? Well pull the clutch cover and be prepaired to spend about another $200 or more depending on whats broken. Im sorry to hear that your having problems again.

Either the rings are shot... or it needs to be replated... Only thing it comes down too...i think.... i dunno im just aggrivated with it right now...i sorta think i know what going on with the clutch issue... The shaft that goes down into the clutch cover is either broke... or whatever holds it inside the case is broke... the clutchs still pulled/drove the bike fine... i had to drive it home they didnt slip or anything like that...

cable was stretched ... everything kept looking like it was working ... and then finally starting getting mad... pulled the cable a little hard and it snapped and it was broke in like the middle of the cable... ...so ima order a new cable tonight... see where that takes me

Well.......... fuggin enjoy... thats all i can say

You know I was curious about why my wiseco instructions said to do that. Ive never done it. But may have to do it on the next top end.

Well. I told you!!!!!! That you may need to have the cylinder replated purely based on the age of you bike. Mihylo says powersealusa.com. I like www.Kustom-Kraft.com They did my cylinder plus all the required repairs after they removed existing nikasil. It wasnt cheap but cured my engine problems.
