RM250 rm250 starting issues

rm is prolly the best ive ever dealt with really.. ive ordered from there 2 times before my last order....and it got here a day early both times... and this time everything went smooth so far..... they seem pretty good

i know a guy that had the same problem with his kawasaki, and he could never figure out what was wrong, and i told him to replace the plug, put higher octane gas, and get super moto oil to mix with it !!! that helped out a lot, but it still wanted to die on him !!! i told him to just run the hell out it !!! he went and put a new carb and jet kit on it, and that fixed his problem....i have a 92 rmx250 that runs like a bat out of hell, and mine wants to die on me sometimes, and is hard to get started, but it has a big jet kit on it...i have to crank it a few times and then kick the hell out it and it will start on the second time !!! i've been in 5th gear and pulled the front wheel off the ground at about 85mph, and it scared the hell out of me !!! lol, but i wouldnt ride another bike unless its an oler model suzuki !!! :) if u need to know anything about ur bike or about older model suzuki's, juss holler at me and ill be glad to tell u anything about them !!! :thumb:

Well got the top end all buttond up..exhaust back on.. all the breather and carb and reeds...

That oring must have been part of the problem.. becouse now i can definatly feel a difference in compression....

Does anyone know the torque specs on the jug and head bolts .. my book called for 28ft lbs on jug and 22 on head... that just doesnt feel tight to me... thats what i put them as... im going to search some more and see if that sounds right..

I guess im going to order a new air filter.. becouse mine is just old and crappy feeling.. And i still have to pick up some anti freeze.. its been so long since ive messed with it i cant think of anything else i need

I just kicked it over like 3 times.. the exhaust sounds different i guess that packing will do that

Some pics of where its at .. for now

Looks like it's coming together BK :thumb: New packing will definitely change the tone of your exhaust note. While you are ordering stuff, don't forget to order a new back tire. :prof: That may help putting the new found power to the ground. :smirk:
