RM250 rm250 starting issues

I agree with Jackson except I let the bike warm up on the stand pretty good, burp the coolant and makesutre the rad is hot to the touch and then shut her down for a couple hrs.... Thats heat cycle one... then I do Jaxs thing
 
this is fuggin crazy shit... i pulled the head of... BAM.... everything looks like its just been built.... SPOTLESS... i have pictures... all i did was pull the head.. and wipe off very very very little..oil/fuel... off the piston and head...

the i didnt get to pull the jug off...my uncle garage electricity was all jacked up and didnt have lights or heat... i dunno what im going to do.... i noticed the inner head oring looked like it might have been pinched... and i know its swelled way to big to put back to gether.... piston is very tight.... cylinders look perfect... no ring ridge at all... the piston looks like brand new... its a std piston... i didnt see any names on top... but there was some number ... i forgot them now... i will get them tho...i dunno if im just going to re ring... or throw it back together... ...if the piston skirts and everything checks out as good as the cylinder and top of piston... i might jst rering ...or i dont really know yet...

I would at least replace the top end gaskets while its torn apart. LOOKS CLEAN!
 
Man I dont know what to say. If I didnt know any better Id say it looks like you cleaned it. Hell through the new top o rings on it. Fresh gas and pre mix. Carb is re jetted richer. Crank her up and see what happens.

holy cow looks better than my 85 when i tore it down... and that piston is a wiseco
