What did you do to your bike today?

When Palmer and I were scheduled to go for a ride a couple weeks ago I started my bike, ran itup and down the street a couple times then loaded it. topped off the gas and called it a night...plans changed, ride canceled, etc. I went out to unload my biek I notied there was an oil "spot" under it... I saw oil running dowe the c';sprocket cover but couldnt' see where it was coming from. I hadn't riidden it since I had it fixed/serviced back in Feb... I was pissssssed.

I took it in last Saturday, without looking the guy asked "what color's the oil"?... GREEN.. he said I know exactly what it is... it was the oil the facotry uses to coat the filters... it had settled at the bottom of the filter box and dripped when it got heated up. Problem solved.

:lol: I know exactly how that feels as I have experienced the same thing before, most recent on the new Yami I got for my boy. I have learned to follow the oil path and it usually leads right to the bottom of the air filter box.

Thats funny. Both my brother and I were crapping ourselves when we saw the same oil on the ground last week. Till we located the source and its the filter. They leak really bad. They have sooo much on oil on them.

I didn't want to take anything apart or move anything so they couldn't say "I" did something so I left it as is... Glad it was only that... just before loading it last Friday I did the same thing but only started it to get it warm and to see if we could see the leak in the daylight... couldn't see where it was comign from but saw that it was green and sticky... almost like a sealant but it was oil.

Kind of nailed em with that problem... they neglected to clean the filter when I had it in there for the pump prob and service... had they cleaned it I wouldn't have experienced this. :bonk:. While it's there, I'm having them change out the rear tube and replace it with a HD tube and a better rear tire.. Maxxis Desert IT (pretty sure the model name). Twice the knobbies, not as much room between them to allow for a sharp rock or stick to puncture it. :thumb:

I want to shake your hand for this bit of correct grammar. Everyone says "me and my brother or me and my dad" and it drives me bonkers. I think they even teach it incorrectly in school these days as literally everyone says it incorrectly, even on television. :banghead:

Believe it or not, I think it is my brother and me... You take the "brother and" out and that is what is correct. Just my $ .02.:P
