What did you do to your bike today?

Got it in pieces to get the sand out. sand sand sand everywhere I don't know how you desert guys do it.
I had to shim one loose int valve and decided to put in new wheel bearings. One on the front was totally seized. I guess I should go faster next time :thumb:
I'm not sure what side of texas your on but Gas It Off Road here in nm offers a decent desert series with a lot of variety, lots of it not too horribly far from texas if you're interested.

Cleaned, chained oil, air filter, tightened chain, and loaded it up for my first race this season and my first on the YZ :ride: these 2 bikes were built 40 years apart

So you've lived with it for a while what do you think about the box in front? I love it. Concern only for the reduced air filter surface area, but cleaned each ride should be ok. I don't really ride in super dusty but I bet some of you HS guys would cake one up in a day

I like it, I haven't seen anything that would be cause for concern over inhaling dirt, I did 3 28 mile loops sunday and it didn't choke out. My only real complaint is sometimes the cover can be a pain to get back lined up how its suppoused to go.

Oh yeah, stock chain is stretching at a crazy rate.
