What did you do to your car/truck today?

it didn't really dawn on him that cables did a fine job of opening throttle bodies and what not for a very long time. all the manufacturers are doing it, putting electronics where they're not really needed IMO

Speaking of such, might you have any idea why the cruise would work in colder weather but not hot weather on an 04 F150? I asked the ford forum, but they've all got adhd and are still debating on whether or not its an 04 (I can assure you it is, how you might ask? a master magician never reveals his secrets)

Does your truck have an A/T with a floor shifter?......if so your problem could be the shift lock actuator, back feeding voltage to the brake pedal switch, fooling the pcm into thinking the brake pedal is being applied, check for voltage at the pink/light green wire on the 4 wire connector at the brake switch, if there's two switches, it should be the lowers switch. there should be 0 v with brake pedal at rest, if any voltage present, disconect connector and recheck, if still present, go to connector at shift lock actuator at shifter and disconnect, if voltage at brake switch connector goes away, replace shift interlock actuator.

There is a TSB# 05-6-10.......it states this problem applies to 04's built before 05/17/04.
Hope this helps.

Snowflake.... Your truck in sense is a 03..... Most people even ford most of the time think a 04 is a 04-08...And that only a 97-03 .... Which in fact the 04 "HERITAGE" is a 97-03 body style.... Not a 04-08.... So anything you find saying it was fixed from 04+ , doesn't have anything to do with your truck.

Any kind of electrical problems you have i would start at the GEM and Fuse box... Check for corrosion. .. Also check your underhood fuse box for corrosion on the relays. You could have a sticky relay.

Make sure you don't have any LED brake lights... Make sure all your brake lights work, Even the cab mounted one. Sometimes if they ain't working or have LED's it will screw with the cruise control.

I currently own a ford Eff Juan Fiddy. All it does is start up and drive. Does this mean its broken?

Power steering pump was whining so I check it and it was way low. Stopped and bought some fluid and the noise went away. Probably first time i ever check that. This fucking truck is costing me a fortune. Better get rid of soon. :smirk:

I Put the best shit money can buy in her. Ole Betsy gets top dolla, spare no expense. Shit had gold flakes in it. Guy told me she would turn on a dime after I use this stuff. Had to pump that old stuff out to get it to work tho. :prof:
lol, It takes transmission fluid.
