Full syn???? Why? I have the eco with twin turbo and I can run anything in it. I usually run the motorcraft 5w30 synthetic blend. 6 qts.

I was originally just gonna run the Motorcraft 5w20 syn blend

Yeah, just ignore what the manual says, I'd probably just run a cheap 10-40, with 10k service intervals.

the manual does say 10k service intervals, possibly part of why they want synthetic in there.
but in reality, you only do that because the 15/16ths changes its own oil 4 times in that 10k

I changed the eff2fiddy every 10k
Now I’m gonna go check my manual and see if it says boner oil.

yours is on the next page, it says semi syn 5w30, which is weird considering I'd think the heat of the turbo's would require a syn more than a high revving v8

That’s what I was thinking. It don’t matter as long as it’s clean. I have always changed oil at 5k intervals in all my vehicles. I thinks the fjuanfiddy goes like 7-8k. I just change it when the light comes on.
