What did you do to your car/truck today?

Well, the insurance adjuster came out today to check the damage on my 1999 chevy Silverado 1500. He claimed it a total loss no surprise there. The surprise to me was the amount that it is worth. I was expecting about 5 or 600 bucks. Man was I shocked when he told me what they were going to give me for the claim. It was way more than I ever expected. Now I will go buy the Motoz Terrapactor tires and new Oakley goggles. :thumb:

Was it 4x4? if so a running dependable rig with 4x4 that is in operating condition will give you 1500 $ regardless of condition otherwise

I bought a new/used Chevy Z71 last week. It is spotless! It's a 2004 with fairly low miles. So dang clean. All the regular maintenance was done on time and all the records to prove it. It's metalic grey. Just the color I wanted. And one of the years I wanted too. I am so dang happy! I dont care that it's older. It looks great! I like the look better then the newer Chevy trucks. They have puffed them out around the wheel wells on the recent models. I dont like that look. I was lucky to be the first person to look at it. Got a really good deal on it.

Anyhow....this means I can load my bikes and feel fairly safe getting places now:banana: In the past with 325,000 miles on my old Chevy Silverado truck, it was always a roll of the dice if I was going to make it or not. That truck is still running. Im now going to put a for sale sign on it and sell it to someone I dont know:D

Re-wired my trailer plug and fixed the license plate illumination light, and then I tackled hands down the hardest task I've ever done mechanically, I replaced the brake pedal cover

Today I bought both front wheel bearings and the front U-joints. Plus, Desno iridium sparkplugs. For my 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. I will start installing them tomorrow evening. I will inspect my rotors and pads as I tear it down.
P.s. This maybe off topic.
Can anyone tell me if a standard p265/70R16 tire will fit on a 10" rim? If yes, how safe is it? Will it hold onto the rim or fall off the bead?

AC Delco plugs on a GM :prof:

Should be ok, with the tires.

Good way to have comebacks
lol, what? I figured you would tell us your experience with them. I wasn't meaning that as a comeback.

If you wanted a comeback, It would have been that i've been working on GM engines for close to 20 years, And they only like AC Delco plugs...Our race engines even get AC Delco plugs 50% of the time. Some do get other brands, when that happens we buy like 10 different brands and heat temps. And test and tune. Then again, thats my personal opinion. Take it or leave it, No comebacks needed. :)
