What do you think of this bike for sale?

Okay, new bike for sale, in my town, 10 minutes from my place.
I was thinking if I could pick this thing up for cheap it might be an upgrade to Zach's 98, but am relying on your guys' opinion on that.
If I could get it cheap, I know I could flip his 98 for profit. Could be a win/win situation.
However, after texting this guy back and forth for awhile it comes out that the engine is seized.
What do y'all think?

For the guy I bought this bike from ONE was too many.
I say it everytime, some people should not be allowed to own dirtbikes.
If you don't want to get beat down on the sale, maybe before the buyer comes you should fill the tires the rest of the way up with air, hose the cow shit off the frame, the bird shit off the seat and make sure it starts with less than 30 kicks with yr old gas in it. He was a big guy and kicking that thing over had his ass! I think he was just ready to never see it again at that point.
Sometimes buying used bikes feels more a rescue mission. Poor motorcycle deserves better.
Now it's clean enough to take apart. (which should be interesting)

He's 5-2 right now. Such a pain in the butt age and height. He is right at the point where he is still the largest youth size, and the smallest mens.
Of course everything I buy for him is small mens, but he needs to grow into it.
There have been a bunch of bikes for sale on CL in my area the last couple days. Here is an RM125 I have been eyeing for the bambino;

For 500 I would grab it.

Me too. Of course by the looks of the chain it's another bike rescue but if it runs its a good start. and I really liked those beefy forks. felt super solid

Are you ready for it to be a 1200 dollar bike? Seized not running, two years ago I paid 300 for a yz 85 (2004). So that one is not at all attractive to me.

I thought the conventional forks were ok, but most didn't and the fact that they were several pounds heavier than usd's put people off before they tried them. Nice way to announce you are riding a 20 year old bike, which plays a part in what kids want once they start riding with people who know the difference and remind them of it.

I picked up my first 87 cr500 (it is still here) in 1988 from a very large man who was still wearing a cast. Very fresh bike, which he wanted 1200 for. With some coaxing from his wife he took 825.00 and I filled up his car (co credit card). They were both nearly teary eyed as they described how that "leg breaker never should be sold to the public" "thing" had injured it's very inexeperienced rider (he had been on 4 wheelers, three wheelers and played football a lot though). He decided that since he was a "fit 230 lbs" he needed a bike with more power than the smaller ones or trail bikes had.

Found out why big country had such a hard time starting it. Not the old gas it was the intake valve clearance. There wasnt any.

.00mm

Found a meter tucked away reading 69hrs for whatever that's worth. So far very easy bike to work on. Haven't needed the manual for anything but the specs, which I was fairly certain wasn't ZERO.
Having the throttle body and airbox up front is something j could get used to.
