What do you think of this bike for sale?

Now that you and the boy are doing well with the bikes I suggest a riding class. Preferably an MX beginners class. They are usually available at regular intervals at local tracks. If not you can always inquire at any of your local dealers or the tracks themselves.

Wow, that is some solid support for the KDX. I'll see if he still has it.
I had my Son's tag along airlifted out
When I mentioned the tag along's I was referring to my adult friends. I wouldn't feel too comfortable in todays day to let one of my son's kid's ride one of our bikes like we used to do. Seeing one of them on his skateboard makes me nervous.

Yeah I'd be down for that, thanks. I need all the help I can get! Zach on the other hand just seems to trust his bike more than I do, and just throttles through everything now. I dont know how he gets away with some of the things he does. He should have fell off his CR 40 times last weekend, but he only went down 3 times.
We're going to AZ Cycle Park next weekend and I'll ask about it. I think also some yoga classes might be in order too. I spent 7 hours in the seat last weekend and I've been paying for it all week!

Bayer aspirin before you ride and stretching before you ride is important at our age.

No reason to even look at CL unless I have cash in my hand for a toy I don't need. It is a disease after a while. -BIG DAN:thumb:
I can see why you would say that, but I'm just not sure I have all the toys I "need" just yet...
That KDX would have been a nice addition.

Basically I think I "need" 2 bikes for each of us, one for track, and one for trail.
After Zach spent 7 hours on the CR80 last weekend he is no longer afraid of the XR200, so that would be good for him. And since I sold his XR100 that leaves me without a trail bike. So I am in that market now. I was thinking a 400 would be good.
And then there's the street bikes, the Magna, and the Shadow...

I like riding the 400 ok, and for desert it is probably a little better than one of the xr250's when just going straight. I just don't seem to get along with it anywhere else. The xr600 is still much faster, and to me doesn't really feel too much heavier. the xr250 feels much lighter and with an extra gear and a bigbore kit it just feels much more versatile and starts easier in almost any situation. For me, Honda finally built an xr400 I didnt feel like I had to have. Not so with all the rest.
The KDX sold yesterday for $500.00.
My son's XR100 sold tonight for $600.
Wish I could have picked up that KDX.

If you find a kdx200/220 that is liquid cooled you will like it better, simply because of the suspension and disk brake on both ends. I still see them for under 12 here and there.

Oh it's a disease alright, or syndrome. I have to talk myself down off the ledge everytime I go on cl. Last time I lowballed a seller just for fun, I wound up with a 450 I didn't really want. When I think I need something I just go out in the garage a look at the bikes I already have, and it seems to soothe the urge. Actually thinking of selling the 125, hasn't been ridden in a while and isn't the first (or second) choice on ride days. Gotta own up to the deal I made with the wife if I don't ride it I dont keep it.

My suggestion is to get so many that your wife can't tell how many you have to start with or which ones you ride. The only thing she has said in the last 12 years is 'where else are you keeping these things'? Since we plan to sell the house this summer, I think I will have to get rid of a few projects that may never see my attention. Since I am retiring (well, selling part of the business) I am putting that off to see how much project time I will have in the future and to see how much more effective I am in a new shop, in a neighborhood that no one knows me in.
