What did you do to your bike today?

Either way, no matter where people park, Rack and I were discussing a plan. This would be a great opportunity to get the whole group (that is man enough) over to Barstow. For the Searles group from Fresno, about a 45-1 hour drive to the staging area. Won't get a better opportunity. For the JV guys, even closer.

Just throwing it out there, maybe do this on Friday, after T-day?? Thoughts??
Cut and paste this in the T-Day thread. :prof:

BTW, to keep this on topic, I am in the process of giving my bike a face lift, new graphics, new handguards, some plastics, new sprockets and chain, and a new place to store my tools on my bike. Stealing this last idea from Agent 2. :thumb: Pics will follow when done. Doesn't mean my fat ass is gonna ride any faster though, although a well placed CTR Racing sticker may give me a bit more horsepower.
:spin: let me know if you need some more HP stickers.

I watched that video a few times and you can see his chain hanging down before the wreck but it doesn't look like to me that caused it. It looks like he hit one of those center reflectors and it upset the back end and then he lost it. :noidea:

Good eye. I watched it a few times on a large screen. Looks like he is braking and hits the reflector and highsides himself.

The chain is still the culprit. I think the loss of engine momentum (making the rear wheel much lighter) and too much rear brake led to this one.

Motorcycles act completely different with the engine attached to the rear wheel and not attached. I practice this technique by putting my bike in neutral and riding downhill. It's a completely different animal.
I am amazed at how much the engine helps. Especially downhill. -BIG DAN:thumb:

On my way home from Prescott yesterday a Ninja rider backed into the guard rail. I stopped and asked if he was ok and if he needed any medical. He said he was fine although he looked a little beat up from the way he was being helped to get his compression suit off. There was three other riders with him. not but 5 minutes before my son said this road would be fun on my old super moto. I told him to keep his eyes pealed on all the memorials of bike parts and helmets. Must be about ten in a 18 mile stretch. No your limit, and keep your bike in good condition folks.

I know, but you forget I do the same.
I don't forget at all. As a matter of fact I remember some refuge during some of the hurricane force winds and 10 degree temps that was given. You know you and Steve would be welcome anytime if it happened again. Maybe we can do something early.

We won't be needing your hospitality this year, we'll be in the new POS. Right now we are planing on Spangler with you all, even Russ has been notified of our plans, but as usual, I'm reserving the option to bail due to the weather.

I thought everyone was going to JV with a possible day trip to Barstow? It's not crowded there the day after TDay everyone is at Spangler. I haven't committed to anywhere yet. I need to see what the weather looks like.

If it looks like this il probably go.
